• was a german spy pretending to work under the captain
• used the last name Smith while undercover
• his german accent was too thick so he used sign language. after he died he stopped for a while but once the captain died he started up again
• died in the infirmary due to excessive blood loss from multiple bullet wounds (a soldier shot him due to prejudice and suspecting that he was a spy)
• enlisted in the army in 1939, was selected for operation lena in 1940
• was the most qualified spy in the operation (which isn’t saying much)
• only enlisted so that he wouldn’t end up in a concentration camp (he felt horrible about it though)
• was totally gay for cap but after he died he saw that cap had a thing for havers and got a bit sad
• he wrote memoirs in his notebook while he was alive and still has the book in death
